I’m a multimedia journalist and photographer driven by a deep belief that the strongest stories are rooted in community and truth. For more than seven years, I’ve covered local news, elections, features, sports and human-interest stories across print and digital platforms, always with a people-first mindset and a commitment to accuracy, trust and thoughtful reporting. Whether I’m attending a city council meeting, covering a local event, or documenting everyday moments, my goal is the same: to tell stories that matter to the people living them.

Born and raised in Oregon, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from Linfield University, where I also minored in coaching of swimming. My career has taken me from the Pacific Northwest to the South, where I moved in 2023 to be with the love of my life and continued my work covering hyperlocal communities in Autauga and Elmore counties outside of Montgomery. Across every newsroom, publication and assignment, I’ve built strong relationships with sources and residents alike — connections that allow me to report with nuance, authenticity, facts and heart.

Outside the newsroom, I’m a former collegiate swimmer who spent 16 years in the pool, an experience that shaped my discipline, curiosity and drive — traits I carry into my work every day. I’m also a devoted enthusiast of Oregon wine and spent four years after college working for an award-winning and world-renowned winery before relocating to Alabama. When I’m not reporting or photographing, you’ll usually find me hiking and exploring the outdoors, watching scary movies or reality t.v. or at home with my two cats and my fiancé, who truly are my whole world.

Storytelling is truly at the center of everything I do. I don’t just write stories — I capture them, combining words and photography to preserve moments as they unfold. To me, journalism isn’t just about reporting the news; it’s about documenting real people, real places and real life with honesty, care and purpose.
